Retired North Carolina Superior Court Judge, Hon. H. William Constangy, has a half-century of experience with covenants not to compete, as a lawyer, trial court judge, employment arbitrator and prolific writer of books, law review and other articles, including Noncompete Law, a national legal treatise on noncompete agreements and related restrictive covenants published by LexisNexis® Matthew Bender® and Physician Covenants Not to Compete, an eBook published by LexisNexis.

Before serving 26 years on the bench, Judge Constangy practiced employment law and general civil practice in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is currently an active employment arbitrator in Charlotte,  serving on the American Arbitration Association® Employment, Judicial, and Large and Complex Cases Panels. He is a graduate of Duke Law School and Wake Forest University.
